The coffee producers
The small-holder women farmers of the Grupo Asociativo El Bombo Pitalito Inza are organic certified, and dedicated to producing high-quality specialty coffees through careful cultivation and processing. They are working on integrating agroforestry into their farms, preventing and reversing deforestation and the cooperative is working towards a living income for all farmer members.
The Asobombo Women and Coffee Project was founded in 2023 as their analysis showed that gender inequality was a key factor in achieving sustainability and liveable incomes for their members. Their goal is to strengthen gender equity, and they have invested in training and support in physical-sensory analysis and post-harvest processes to improve production quality for their female members. The project also pays a premium to these women for every sack of coffee produced.

The mission of their vibrant network across 36 countries is to empower women in the international coffee community to achieve meaningful and sustainable lives.
