The coffee producer
Graciela Rodriguez Ospina is the leader of San Gabriel Farm, where her family has cultivated coffee for more than 50 years. Today, she leads the farm with her brothers and sisters, continuing a family legacy while shaping its future with vision and determination. Women play an essential role across every part of the farm, and Graciela is a passionate advocate for their contribution. She believes that women are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to, bringing exceptional dedication, care, and attention to every aspect of their work. Her leadership has helped foster an environment where women are encouraged to pursue interests, develop skills, and take on meaningful roles with confidence.
Driven by a commitment to quality and long-term sustainability, Graciela led the transformation of San Gabriel Farm from conventional coffee production to specialty coffee. This bold shift has enabled the farm to add greater value to its harvest, showcase the unique character of its coffee, and create new opportunities for the family and the wider community.
The process: the ripest cherries are harvested, pulped, and placed to ferment anaerobically in tanks for 48 to 60 hours, and dried for 12 to 15 days.
