The coffee producers
Sourced through a female-owned green coffee importer, this coffee tells a story of resilience, community, and the power of women. Each year, Primavera curates the highest scoring coffees from female producers across their Guatemalan network, and brings them together under the name Primavera Sisterhood - a tribute to the skill, dedication, and heart these women pour into their work. A premium is paid for every kilo of this coffee to fund workshops that equip women with the tools and confidence to take control of their farms and their futures. From financial literacy to advanced agricultural techniques, this training is designed to foster independence and long-term success.
Importantly, these spaces are created by women, for women - environments where female farmers can learn, share, and lead without the overshadowing presence of traditional male dominance. Primavera have told us how they have seen firsthand that when men are not in the room, more women show up, speak up, and step up.
This work is vital. For too long, women in coffee have been excluded from land ownership, denied access to credit, and overlooked in training and education. Supporting this coffee means standing up for equity in a system where women deserve not just a seat at the table - but a powerful voice in shaping its future.
